Support with Financial Matters

We can help anyone living in Copeland over the age of 55 to support themselves and manage financially through:

  • Advice and help on money matters
  • Benefit checks – we are an approved agent for the DWP
  • Support to complete applications for relevant benefits
  • A form filling service for products and services
  • Low-cost Lasting Power of Attorney service
  • Assistance to access bereavement benefits and support
  • Support with accessing grants including Winter Fuel payments and Disabled Facilities Grants
  • Liaising with outside agencies/working in partnership/signposting

Service Fees:

In order for us to provide our services, we charge a one-off nominal fee for each service as follows:
£20 fee for Blue Badge applications (+ £10.00 to Cumberland Council)
£30 fee for benefit and housing applications including holistic assessment
£100 fee per form for Lasting Power of Attorney applications

These one-off fees will ensure that our service is sustainable and continues to support over 55’s in Copeland.
